Assessment Special Interest Group (SIG)

This special interest group focuses on the assessment portion of the information and technology literacy standards that we are charged with teaching our K-12 students.

SIG Officers are Chairperson, Mr. Corey Hansen and Vice-chairperson, Ms. Michelle Maniaci.

Some of the topics the SIG will discuss are as follows. Others will be added based on the interests of the group:

• Best practices in assessment
• The 8th grade technology competency requirement
• Formative and summative assessment practices

The group hopes to create resources and learning opportunities that will benefit the WEMTA membership, their colleagues, and the students they serve.
