The WEMTA Elections Committee is pleased to announce the results of the 2012 election. Newly elected officers are Joel Verduin, President; Donna Smith, President-Elect, and Kathy Sanders, Treasurer. Newly elected Directors are Vicki Santacroce, Director-at-large; Allison Kaplan, Director-Higher Education; Michelle Maniaci and Carol Neuser, Directors-Library Media; and Vicky Lyon and John Pederson, Directors-Technology. These WEMTA leaders will join continuing WEMTA Board Members: Eileen Schroeder, Secretary; Connie Jaeger, Director-at-large; Chad Lehman and Malena Koplin, Directors-Library Media; and Kim Bannigan and Tammy Lind, Directors-Technology. The Board will select a new Director-at-large to fill the vacancy resulting from Donna Smith's election as President-Elect.

The proposed Bylaws change was also approved deleting the phrase "Except for the first set of Directors under these Bylaws (Initial Directors) in Article/Section 4.5.1." This phrase was no longer relevant as it applied only to the Directors elected after the current Bylaws were adopted in March 2007.
